A short animation film taking a light-hearted look at the history of light starting with the sun. We travel through time pausing at key stages of human industrial development to explore the benefits of each key light source, ending in the present day with the concept of ‘Connected lighting’ and the benefits of why we should use it.
Key areas of expertise
Through iconography and illustration, I created a series of short animated sequences to help explain the history of light. The final scene focused on how connected lighting can collect data via sensors in the lighting systems, data applications to analyse and gain new insights. This information then helps operators and customers to improve ways of working.
